Entering a race as a Proxy Contestant
Notes for a club contemplating holding an 'open' race
What is a Meccano part?

There are three aims for this site, and each is a winner.

1. To encourage Meccano meeting organizers to include race events in their future programs and publicize the fact here. The organizers might consider that they can expect larger turnouts if they accept proxy competitors.

2. To give a means of knowing where and when Meccano contests and races are being held throughout the world. To remind the "I'm all by myself out here" brigade that they can often enter these events, just like the city members, by putting their model in a box and taking it to the Post Office, (plus a few arrangements of course).

3. To encourage city club members, not competing that day, to join in the fun and do a great kindness by offering their services as Proxy Mechanics - a new word in the Meccano glossary.

Please can we show a jpg of your racer - whatever type?

Club Secretaries please advise [email protected] as early as you can of race events you are staging.
