Lyons War Memorial at Greenford. 25
January 2001, just prior to their movement
to storagee and re-erection in Hammersmith
Cemetery. The memorials were erected in
the Greeford tea facvtory grounds in 1968,
having been moved from the original Lyons
Sports Ground at Sudbury Hill, Middlesex,
when the land there was sold. The WWI
memorial was dedicated in 1919 and the
WWII memorial in 1947. Collectively they
commemorate 470 employees who gave their
lives in the two wars.
