27..The
picture was taken in 1934 and shows the
waitress order pad hanging from the waist.
It was taken at Orchard House to promote a
keep-fit culture for the girls. The 'W'
shaped aprons can be seen and these were
introduced in about 1930. Prior to that
they were straight bottoms. The second
girl on the left is Elizabeth (Betty)
Molen (1911-1999) a talented artist who
made several of the Corner House window
displays.
