'Fixed Distance' Rules

To build a fully self-contained vehicle that will travel exactly 2 metres along the floor. 1.......All parts must appear in a Meccano parts list, but may be replicas.. 2.......Power must be onboard the vehicle. Separate catapults, ramps or other launchers are not permitted. 3........The power source may be spring or weight or a combination of both. 4........ Motors, either clockwork or electric are not permitted This includes the sprint 'wind up" spring without gears from the Action Packs, but an unpowered motor could be used as a weight! 5.........The distance travelled will be averaged over 2 runs, one 'uphill' and one 'downhill'. This way the measurements will be on the level even if the hall isn't!
