Rules for Dragster Race - Mar 20.2004

Clockwork Motor Challenge

Meccano No 1 clockwork motor powered dragster. Motor must be mounted on the racer.

Meccano parts or replicas only

Maximum length of racer 25"

Maximum width of racer 5"

Races will be the best of 3 runs between 2 racers. Elimination type series with further competitions for minor places.

Fastest over 3 metres, wins.

Starting will be: front of the racer up against a low barrier (metal plate), switch motor on, then the plate flops down to horizontal so both racers start off together. (similar to how dirt bikes and BMX bikes are started)
