Peter = x
Simon = x + 16
Phillip = x - 6
Allan = 4
James = (x + 16 ) ÷
2
Now we make the equation like
this:
50 = (x + 16) + (x - 6) + 4 +
{(x + 16) ÷ 2}
50 = 3x + 14 + (x÷2) +
(16÷2)
100 = 6x + 28 + x +
16...............((Multiply
both sides by 2)
100 = 7x + 44
100 - 44 = 7x
56 = 7x
